Due to their reduced size and frequent isolation, SMEs in Romania, and not only, have inherent limitations regarding economies of scale and scope. In addition, SMEs usually lack the resources to develop their own innovation strategies (green industry & digital transformation), rapidly falling behind large enterprises with strong tools to remain competitive at European and global level.
Considering the above mentioned aspects, the strategic objective (SO) of the project is to increase the competitiveness of Romanian companies based on green industry (eco) innovation, digitalisation approaches and internationalisation, with a particular focus on strengthening the Romanian-Norwegian business & innovation relationships.
The project will be carried on by an association between CLUSTERO (RO, lead partner) and Innovation Performance AS (NO). Both organisations have previously worked together in 2016 and 2017 on similar capacity building services to Romanian clusters (with Innovation Norway and Norway Grants funding). The project will be financed within the SMEs Growth Romania programme, Small Grants Scheme for Soft Measures, administrated by Innovation Norway.
